Wells Tower is one of those young, much heralded writers who lives up to his promise. His stories in “Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned,” many of which first appeared in “The New Yorker,” McSweeneys,” and the “Paris Review” are just a little off beat, just a little bit funny, just beautifully crafted.
